Camry is the luxury sedan baby of the Japanese car maker Toyota. It got all exotic features to be called as luxury sedan. Since its inception into the world’s auto market it has been the dream car for so many . Toyota has been successful in all parts of world with Camry. But in India Toyota is struggling a bit to make the Camry one among the popular in the luxury sedans list. May be Camry was never into market with diesel engine till now in India. Toyota is not successful in making a diesel engine for Camry.
Camry is being assembled completely in India this would give room to price the car competitively. At first glance Camry looks bigger and substantial than the current version in the market. Every part of the Camry is reworked. Looks are similar to mini Lexus. Bonnet got a bulge and angular head lights are the stunners at the head side and angular tail lamps also enhancing the car look over all. The interiors got a face lift in every aspect, faux-wood and leather used to give more exotic and airy feel to the passengers. Camry got an automatic climate control, an audio system with a 10 CD changer. The Luxury sedan is equipped with powered front driver and passenger seats for easy and exact levels of comfort adjustments, Body color rear view mirrors and a body colored side protective mouldings. Exteriors of Toyota Camry shed luxury on the road as it moves with gait. The luxury sedan amalgamates sporty and luxurious looks perfectly. A seven spoke aluminum alloy 15-inch rim is completing the Camry exotic look.
Toyota Camry’s 2500 cc of powerful DOHC VVT-i petrol engine produce a power of 178.5 bhp at 6000 rpm, 23.55 kgm of maximum torque at 4100 rpm. The current 5-speeder gearbox will change to 6-speed manual and automatic one. Camry is coming with both automatic and manual transmission gear box, expected a mileage of kmpl and 7 kmpl respectively.
Toyota has plans of launching the car in the market with enticing price tag, in the range of competitors like VW Jetta, Skoda Superb and Honda Accord. Since the new Camry is unveiled in Delhi auto expo in feb 2012 car fanatics waiting for Camry in their cities for test drives and to own one soon.
