Country based top level domain names for blogger/blogspot

Now my blogger/blogspot blog is showing .in instead of .com (I am in India). you can see your country specific cctld in all the blogger/blogspot blogs. Why google is redirecting my blog to country specific top level domain? This provides the flexibility to the google to maintain/sensor the content according to the country specific rules.

According to google "Over the coming weeks you might notice that the URL of a blog you're reading has been redirected to a country-code top level domain, or "ccTLD." For example, if you're in I and viewing [blogname].blogspot.com, you might be redirected [blogname].blogspot.com.au. A ccTLD, when it appears, corresponds with the country of the reader’s current location."

For now google is redirecting all the .coms to their country specific domains for the blog readers. I don't know how far it goes. I hope this change will remain continue only for the readers not for the publishers.

I prefer using .com instead of .in or other cctld. I want to check it their is any setting for no redirection. In my opinion migrating to country level domain will affect search engine rankings.

.in / (cctld) domain will specific for country based target so most of the users will drive to the domain will be fro India only like wise for rest of countries.Even .in domain is looking cheap but it will fails to drive international traffic to your post mostly It will do but major traffic source will be from the relevant country only. The main reason behind choosing .com domain for my blog is that I want to make it world famous not just in India only so better to choose and give priority to .com like professional domain. You can even target country specific visitors for your website with best top level domain.

google mentioned  about this in their

Why does my blog redirect to a country-specific URL

How to change my .in blogger/blogspot address to .com?

Blog readers may request a specific country version of the blogspot content by entering a specially formatted “NCR” URL.

NCR stands for “No Country Redirect” and will always display buzz.blogger.com in English, whether you’re in India, Brazil, Honduras, Germany, or anywhere.

For example: http://[blogname].blogspot.com/ncr – always goes to the U.S. English blog.
